I accidentally deleted the comments from this post when I fixed the spelling in the comic strip. the comments were:

explanatory note: in panel 3 “Queenslanders” refers to a particular build of house: essentially a timber workers cottage on stilts, built prior to the 1950’s often with a verandah. The stilts (or stumps) in the real life house on which this stip is based were old & rotten & the motion of 2 humans copulating would be capable of shaking the entire house and the furniture & occupants within it.
This note is only of importance to those unfamiliar with “Queenslander” houses and those unfamiliar with what a fat bastard the real Shirty is.

I hope Marcella wasn’t hoping you would proof read her novel… I think you will find that it is ‘built’ not ‘build’. …. just to be a smartarse!!! Also I seem to remember it was sparkles (or is the dronken monkey) in that situation not shirty
